Abstrak | The development of technology is advancing rapidly, especially at transportation. Therefore, man do innovation to develop means of transport that are economical and they have good exterior and interior design as well. Beside the price the availability of the spare poart and service can be a special consideration for automotive product consumer. To increase maximum engine performance and to economize fuel consumption of car are affected by the work of cooling process of machine if acar has good colling process.it will economize the consumption of the power used in colling process . In the engine cooling process the role of cooling pump dimension, speed of cooling and radiator profile can be determinant factors,in cooling engine work performance . From the factors above the research on the effect of dimensions especially the amounth of cooling fan used and cooling fan position in cooling water radiator get less of interest The result of the research shows that the higesht temperature occurs in the water of radiator with 5 blade fan in a distance of 2,5 cm to the radiator is 86,7 derajat C and the lowest temperatur occurs in the water of radiator with 7 blade fan in the distance of 1,5 cm to the radiator is 50.90oC. This the number and spacing of the fan to the radiator fan is very influential to the blade and blade angle form. Key word : Cooling Radiator, fan blades radiator, economize fuel. |

Abstrak | Improving the quality is an action taken to improve the product through increasing effectivenes s and efficiency as well as efforts to reduce the variability of a process by reducing the production that is not appropriate. Yarn evenness and single yarn tensile strength is one indicator to determine the quality of yarn. Quality of Ring Spinning yarns of a whole includes several factors, namely the number, evenness, strength, twis and yarn grade. Based on SNI, good mixed polyster / cotton Ne 45J has minimum single yarn tensile strenth 288,2 gram while new company standard reaches 276 gram.This can be increased by setting level draft zona method to improve the spacing proces. Good spacing proces is able to improve yarn evenness of 284 gram and it is followed by the reduction of the evennes value. The experimental results show that the Taguchi method, the factors that influence the evenness of the yarn is minimization, the distance bottom roll to front top roll (B), the thickness of the distance clip (D), diameter of top roll (A) and loading weighting arm (C) . Similarly, factors that influenc e the single yarn tensile strength is the distance bottom roll to front top roll (B), the thickness of the distance clip (D), loading weighting arm (C) and the top roll diameter (A). Optimal conditions achieved in the setting parameter A2 B3 C1 D2 is the diameter of top roll 28 mm, the distance bottom roll to front top roll +3 mm, loading weighting arm 12 kg/cm2 and a thickness of distance clip 2,5 mm. Value of the company standards for evenness is 10.63% in the experimental optimal values of 9.36%, this suggests the optimal conditions can minimize by 1.27% compared with standard conditions of the company. The value of single yarn tensile strength for the company's standards implanted at 276 grams and the experimental optimal values of 284 grams, meaning the optimal conditions could maximize at 7.66 grams compared with standard conditions of the company. Abstrak | Research about T-junction as separator is still developing, especially about liquid-liquid flow to get maximum efficiency. Has been done research about dissociation characteristic of kerosene and water applies T-junction with inlet - 1,5 derajat orientation of side arm upward with angle of 45 derajat. diameter inlet 36 mm, and side arm pipe diameter 19 mm, made of plexyglass material. Variable which in measure is kerosene, debit and water secretory passed side arm and run arm to get its the dissociation efficiency based on speed of superficial kerosene and water according to test matrix. Pressure difference at T-junction area is also measured. To point kerosene flow into side arm hence arrangement of flow resistance at downstream equal to 42%, 57%, and 72%. Is done. Abstrak | Making these holes affect the mechanical properties of the plate. At the edge of the plate there will be stress concentration caused by the pressure. This stress concentration that occurs when not properly taken into account, would lead to failure. To find the stress distribution that occurs in a component of the hollow structure can be done experimentally,but the experimental method takes a long and expensive. Finite Element Method (FEM) is a numerical method used to solve a physical problem (the geometry of the simple to the complex) by dividing the object into discrete elements are small with a simple form. Fortran is a computer software that is able to solve finite element problems. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the stress concentration factor of a perforated plate which receives tensile load. Research methods by comparing the results of finite element analysis with programs compared with the experimental method. Material used JIS G 3113 plate with a modulus of elasticity: 20 (MPa), Poisson ratio (v) 0.3. specimen measures 110 mm x 60 mm x 4 mm, 10 mm diameter hole and receive a tensile force of 200 kN. The results obtained concentration factors for finite element methods and rates of 3.19449 for the experimental results of 3.15102461. The finite element method is similar to the results of experimental method shows the results obtained by the finite element method can be trusted. Abstrak | The flow rate current debit represents the main factor in pipe system scheme and pump. The shorter required in the process of filling the maximum water removed, the use of electricity will be more efficient and more economical. The effort which can be done to reach such efficient value is carefully defermine the use of diameter size of suck pipe. The problem discussed in this research is the lost of energy at PVC test diametrical pipe with constant diameter ( 3/8, ½, ¾, 1, 1 1/3 inch ) to the flow rate, where the pipe is installed as variation suck pipe before stepping in to centrifugal pipe which is installed in single construction. This research uses laboratory experiment study, it is assumed that rough surface of inside pipe and liquid viscosity are equal. The dependent variable is the variety of suck diameter, while the independent variables are the flow rate and the data are collected by doing observation with tables of perception device to get optimal value, so it can be found the maximum flow rate and the minimum lost of energy value. Analysis result of constant diametrical pipe indicates that the bigger diameter such pipe, the less energy lose (the lifting energy value and the pressing energy value) at the smallest suck diameter 3/8-1 reaches the flow rate 20 m3/mnt and lifting energy lost value ∆h 62,233 m, pressing energy lost value ∆hp 609.165 N/m2. While at the biggest such diameter 1 ½ reaches the flow rate 22 m3/mnt and lifting energy lost value ∆h 0,121 m, pressing energy Keyword : Debit Stream, energy loss, speed of stream. |
