Abstrak | Multiplication effective current and voltage in AC circuits expressed in volt - amperes (VA). Useful power or the power is measured in watts (W) and obtained if voltamperes of the circuit multiplied by a factor called the power factor (cos θ). Price of power factor depends on the phase difference between current and voltage. AC power capacitor as a compensator connected capacitive network will result in the load current is preceded by 90 degrees, and the resulting load current into a voltage sephase. This research is to design the frequency, voltage, current , and capacitors for electric power optimization using Taguchi experimental method. Based on the experimental results and the results of the calculation of the optimum value of each factor level values obtained frequency at 49 Hertz, the power supply voltage at 180 Volt, electric currentat 1,36Ampere and the capacitor at 7 mikrofarrad.
